About Boating Safely

An excellent one day course for boaters new to boating and want to get their feet wet, so to speak, and for boaters with lots of experience, but want a refresher course. Our instructors -- with knowledge and experience in local waters -- will provide you with what you'll need for safe and enjoyable boating in our river and offshore.

GPS for Mariners

Introduces the Global Positioning System to boaters eager to use the latest in navigation to safely find their way around the water.  This course will explain the GPS system and help you get more out of your unit.

Boating Skills & Seamanship

The most popular course in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. This class spans several nights covering topics from weather to trailering, rules of the road to federal requirements, and from basic navigation to knots and lines. This course is designed for those that know a little but want to learn a lot.

How to read a Nautical Chart

This course is currently being redesigned.  Watch for future information


American Legion Post, 807 Louisiana Ave, Sebastian, FL allows the CG Auxiliary to use their top notch facility for instruction and to assist the boating public.  Follow this link to see a map where the facility is located.
